Once you arrive at the square in front of the church, you can admire its façade, which stands out for its original alternation of stone and terracotta, with pinnacles and spires that draw the eye upward, emphasising its height. Worth noting on the left is the tomb of Aventino Fracastoro, a doctor who lived during the time of Cangrande della Scala, while in the centre there is the bronze portal, created in 1997 by sculptor Luciano Minguzzi.
This reinterprets the story of the two martyrs and the discovery of their relics in a bold, modern style, using vibrant and expressive language. On the left side of the church, near the bell tower, there is the second monumental entrance, at the top of which stands a statue of Saint Anthony of Padua, with a fresco by local painter Francesco Morone on the left.
